MARK STEVENS TO PRESENT PROGRAM!
The Historical Society is very pleased to announce that Mark Stevens will present a special program at our Annual Meeting on November 15th at 7 P.M., in the town hall. His program is titled, “President Pierce’s Plumbago Pit”. Prior to Mark’s program we will have a short annual meeting to bring you up to date on historical society initiatives and programs, as well as vote on nominations to our board of trustees as presented by the nominating committee. This will be a fun and informative evening and we invite you to attend.
WORSTED CHURCH SIGN UNVEILED
After many months of planning, cooperation and support from Shari King of the N.H. Dept. of Transportation and Amy Dixon of the N.H. Dept. of Natural & Cultural Resources, the Society’s Sign Committee, under the leadership of Fred Brewster, officially unveiled the N.H. state sign marking the Worsted Church as a historic site. It is located on Shaker Road at Hill’s Corner.
